Our world needs LOVE. Not more ooey-gooey ‘give me flowers and chocolate’ kind of love. Not the ‘Gonna freshen up and put on my heels for you’ kind of love…not even the ‘I Love being with you let’s go have lunch’ Sister Love.
The world needs LOVE: it needs someone to be “patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV
The world needs Jesus Who IS love and if you are a Christ Follower, a Believer, YOU have JESUS which means the world also needs YOU….you are here to be Love. It is time for each of us to RISE UP AND SHINE, even if you're a shy Introvert! It doesn't mean you'll be taking a microphone and shouting it from the stages of the world....but you are called to encourage and love!
Each of us have a gift, a resource embedded in to our Soul to bless the world and stir the hearts of those around us towards The One Who Created us. I believe most of us aren't seeing these gifts and allowing them to shine, to the glory of God.
We are placed here as Light Houses of faith, to guide and direct others towards Jesus! It's not easy to stand alone on the shores, but in the darkness is where we shine brightest. I know that sounds intimidating as a shy heart, perhaps you have been struggling with insecurity wondering if you were enough to lead or show up in such a way. The answer is YES!
This is why I write.
This is why I share transparently and uncomfortably on social media and in my blogs. Because I want to share the Love I have found and saved my life. I am forever grateful for the Light Houses He gave me.
We are each called and equipped to shine. When you realize this truth, you begin looking for fuel to burn. You begin looking for your shoreline! Then, you start watching for approaching ships to direct away from crashing!
Love is Grace.
Too many people are drowning in the endless hustle of insecurity.
Too many of us are suffocating in our hiding of an imperfect personhood to portray a perfect Christian. Too many of us are believing the lies of the enemy!
We are checking too many boxes and not leaving time or energy or space for The Spirit of God to pour in and through us so that through our gaps and cracks, His Lights filters through. Even if we are shy, even if we are introverts with limited energy, The Sustainer of the entire Universe fills with overflowing grace to accomplish what He has said, prepared and planned for according to His glorious riches.
I once was blind, but now I see.
Amazing Grace.
Love is Grace.
Grace is Love.
